The History of Syscon
Syscon was incorporated in 1973. From 1973 to 1979, Syscon was primarily involved in software development projects for government agencies such as the Army Corps of Engineers, NASA, and the Army Missile Command.
In 1979, the company began marketing multi-user microcomputer based accounting systems for businesses. From 1979 to 1991, Syscon focused its efforts on the commercial and education marketplaces.
Syscon began pursuing the state and local government market in 1991 with the development of our PROMIS land records imaging system. This system was first installed in Walker County, Alabama on May 1, 1992. Our PROMIS installation base has grown significantly over the years and now includes county customers in Alabama, Mississippi, and West Virginia. COURT CLERK, our court docket management system with integrated imaging, is installed in Probate and Municipal courts in Alabama; Chancery, Circuit, County, and Municipal Courts in Mississippi; and Municipal Courts in Georgia.
In addition to our imaging systems, Syscon Preservation Services are being utilized by counties in Alabama, Mississippi, and Georgia. These county customers have collectively preserved millions of pages of documentation using our services. Those pages are now accessible to county customers through their PROMIS, COURT CLERK, or other Syscon product. Government and commercial organizations alike continue to choose Syscon Preservation Services when selecting a vendor with specialized expertise in this field.
For well over three decades, Syscon has continued to grow and establish itself as a trusted service provider that delivers on its promises. That tradition continues and we would welcome the opportunity to add you to our list of satisfied customers.
